Friends of Forêt-la-Blanche is a non-for-profit organization, duly registered with the Registraire des entreprises du Québec (enterprise number: 1148282180). The organization's mission is to safeguard the ecological integrity of the Forêt-la-Blanche territory through forest awareness, conservation and public engagement.

Non-Automatically Collected Data

Purchase of an Annual or Semi-annual Pass or Single Membership

When you fill in the membership form at the Interpretation Centre, we collect the following data (which is kept for 2 years to enable us to contact members and former members to inform them about activities at the ecological reserve or to invite them to renew their membership):

First name and surname
Postal address
E-mail address
Telephone number (optional)
Preferred language of correspondence

Note: for donations requiring a tax receipt, information is kept for 7 years, in accordance with the law.

Signature of the Visitors’ Register

When checking in before going off on the trails. This information (which remains anonymous) is used to compile statistics on trail use in the ecological reserve. No individual data is included in the statistical report. Arrival and departure times are requested for security reasons. Data is kept for one year, and destroyed in April of each year.

Contract for the Purchase of a Commemorative Bench:

The contract is for a period of 5 years and the data is destroyed once it has expired. The following data is collected:

Volunteer Activities

During volunteer activities, we collect the following personal information for statistical purposes, to send a thank-you e-mail to volunteers and to include their names only in the annual report on the activities of Les Amis de la Forêt-la-Blanche (the data is destroyed each year after the annual report is written):

We only collect data that helps us achieve the objective of this privacy policy. We do not collect additional data without informing you first.

Data Collected by a Third Party

We do not sell or share your personal information with data brokers. Below is a list of our suppliers and why we use their services.

Zeffy

We work with a third party for our online store so that the purchase of annual, semi-annual and daily passes, as well as donations, can be made from our website. Zeffy, an online payment platform, collects payments by credit or debit card. When you make an online transaction from our website, you will be redirected to the Zeffy website. We invite you to take a look at Zeffy's privacy policy. Les Amis de la Forêt-la-Blanche does not have access to your credit card information. Zeffy's reports to which Les Amis de la Forêt-la-Blanche has access include the following data:

Day passes: name and e-mail address
Membership, annual and semi-annual passes: Name, address, e-mail address
Donations: Name, address, e-mail
